Developing a Genfriendly Workplace

  Engaging a Changing Workforce**

Engaging a Changing Workforce is an interactive half-day workshop that looks at today’s workforce through a generational lens – exploring the “new game, new roles, and new rules”. While a multi-generational mix has potential for conflict, misunderstanding and even resentment, participants learn that there are huge opportunities for productivity, creativity, knowledge transfer and strategic advantage. The workshop focuses on the practical advice, skills and tools that managers and employees need in order to win in the new game. Each participant will leave the workshop with an Action Plan based on their situational needs that utilizes Tips and Tools with action-oriented checklists and easy to implement ideas.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
During the Engaging a Changing Workforce, participants will:

  • address generational stereotypes
  • identify the key motivators for each generation
  • explore sources of friction and misunderstanding
  • discuss generational workplace characteristics and unique needs
  • create an action plan to bridge the workplace generation gap
  • Learn More...

  Become an Instant Expert**

Become an Instant Expert builds awareness about the four generations in the workplace and creates an understanding of the influences, attitudes and workplace characteristics. This 2-hour facilitated workshop uses dialogue, activities, and the Instant Expert Cards to help managers, individual contributors, and new employees gain a fundamental understanding of each generation in the workplace. Participants will be better equipped to connect and communicate with colleagues and team members.

Use Become an Instant Expert to:

  • Improve new employee integration, productivity, and communication within new work teams
  • Strengthen supervisory or management development initiatives
  • Increase generational awareness and understanding: Affinity Groups, Special Interest Groups, interns or temporary employees
  • Support team formation or team building activities
  • Learn More...
